Here’s everything you need to know about Paperbell’s Stripe integration!

We integrate with Stripe as a payment processor. That means we connect to your own Stripe account, we don’t add any kind of processing fees on top, and your funds don’t go through us.

Stripe is a completely separate tool from Paperbell, so generally you want to go to Stripe directly with any questions about the platform. But we thought we’d give you an overview of the most common questions!

Do I need to set up anything in Stripe to make my Paperbell packages work?

There are no “extra” steps that need to be done in Stripe. You don’t need to create a product or subscription in Stripe. All you need is an active Stripe account and Paperbell will handle what’s next. Making changes to your products or subscriptions in Stripe will not be reflected back to Paperbell and can ultimately mess things up.

What is the fee for using Stripe?

Paperbell doesn’t charge an additional fee for Stripe or PayPal, and does not take a percentage of your sales. Stripe does take a percentage, based on location and currency.

For the US: Stripe is 2.9% + 30¢ per successful card charge

For recurring subscription charges, Stripe charges .5% in addition to the regular fees listed above.

More information about Stripe’s fees can be found here.

When do I get my first Stripe payout?

Your first payout is typically available seven days after you add your bank account and take your first successful payment on Stripe. Learn more here.

After that first payout, the default payout schedule is daily/automatic. You can change this in the Dashboard to weekly automatic, monthly automatic, or manual payouts.

Stripe says an expected payout should hit your bank account by five days after the payout. Learn more here.

How can I see my upcoming payments in Stripe?

Stripe does not contain a list of your upcoming payments, but Paperbell does. To see any upcoming payment plan payments, search for your client in the clients section. Then click on packages, view the package, and you’ll see a list of completed and upcoming payments.

I thought a payment was going to land in Stripe today, where’s my money?

Payments often don’t land until the evening. Wait the full day that you’re expecting your payment to come in.

How do I refund my client?

You do that in Stripe, here’s how.

Do clients get a receipt from Stripe?

Not automatically. You can set that up in your Stripe settings.

You can also manually send a receipt to a client, if you’d like.

Paperbell offers a Zoom integration that automatically creates a unique Zoom link for each meeting.

If you prefer to use the same link for each meeting, don’t use the Zoom integration and instead enter your Zoom personal meeting ID in Paperbell’s meeting URL field, here’s how to do that. )

How to Set Up the Zoom Integration

  1. Go to your Meeting Integration settings.
  2. Choose Zoom from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click the “Connect Zoom account” link, review permissions, and accept.
  4. You’re done!

Where do I find the Zoom link for my session?

Your Zoom link is in the calendar invite that your connected calendar sent out.

You can also find it in Paperbell. From your Appointments tab, click on the appointment. You’ll then see a screen for that appointment, and a link for the Meeting. Here’s what it looks like:

Can I change the title or subject of the meeting?

Afraid not! Zoom doesn’t include a way to change this or make it different by default.

How to Uninstall Zoom

  1. Go to your Meeting Integration settings and change your Meeting Room Setting to None.
  2. Log in to your Zoom account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace.
  3. Click Manage -> Installed Apps or search for the Paperbell app.
  4. Click the Paperbell app.
  5. Click Uninstall.

How to Change Your Connected Zoom Account

Want to change the Zoom account you’re hooked up to? No problem!

  1. Go to Zoom and log out of your account.
  2. Go to your Meeting Integration settings and click “change account” link, review permissions, and accept.
  3. Please note that when you change out the Zoom account from your settings it only affects appointments moving forward. For any existing appointment linked to a different Zoom account, you’ll need to go in and change the link within the Google calendar event.

Are your clients asked for a passcode?

If your clients are getting asked for a passcode once they join the meeting, you can turn off this setting in Zoom. Here are the instructions.

Paperbell integrates with Google Meet (aka Google Meetings or Google Hangouts).

This means Paperbell will automatically generate a unique Google Meet URL for each of your appointments. It is automatically listed on your calendar invite.

Here’s more info about Google Meet — completely free for 1:1 meetings.

To make this your automatic meeting provider, go to the Meeting Integration section of your settings. Choose Google Meet from the dropdown menu, hit save, and you’re good to go!

Note: if you don’t see a GoogleMeet option in your settings, that’s because you don’t have a Google calendar connected to Paperbell. It won’t work if you’ve connected a Microsoft or Apple calendar. 📆

If you have a newsletter or mailing list, you can automatically upload new Paperbell clients into your email marketing tool. Just use our Zapier integration.

This works with ConvertKit, Flodesk, ActiveCampaign, MailChimp, SendinBlue, Hubspot, and more.

Will my clients still have to opt-in?

This depends on your email marketing provider: we suggest sending the details of the Zap that you’ve set up.

Can I message my clients through Paperbell directly?

You can! Here’s how. You won’t be able to set up things like drip campaigns or automated mailings (outside of packages) in Paperbell, though, so if you need those things, you’ll want to keep your current CRM or email marketing software.

Integrate Paperbell into your website, emails, social media updates, private messages, etc.

In order for your clients to be able to purchase your packages and schedule appointments, you’ll need to link them to your Paperbell account. Here’s how!

Where can I integrate Paperbell?

Anywhere on the internet you can paste a link, you can paste your Paperbell link! That means social media status updates, your website, your autoresponder emails, Instagram DMs, YouTube descriptions, and absolutely anywhere else. 🙌

How do I embed my Paperbell calendar on my site?

Check out this detailed guide on how to embed your Paperbell booking calendar into your website.

How do I find my Paperbell links?

Link to your Paperbell website

Your homepage contains all your active, publicly available packages. Here’s an example of a live site.

Grab your site URL from the Share button at the top of your account page.

  • Click “Copy Link” to share your link elsewhere. And admire your site by clicking “View Site.”
  • Click on the Sharing tab in any package. Click on the clipboard icon next to the Homepage page link to copy it.

Link to package landing pages

Your package landing page is where clients can find the full details about your package as well as your “Book Now” button to buy/book the package.

Packages can be public (included on your homepage) or invite-only (not listed publicly). Here’s an example of a live package.

To find your individual package URL, go to Packages, click on an individual package, then click Sharing.

Copy the URL to share by clicking the Copy button for Package Landing Page.

Link to your booking calendar

You can also grab the URL that clients see once they’ve clicked the “Book now” button on a package page. This is a great option if you like to host your package pages on your website and want to send clients straight to the booking/payment process in Paperbell.

This can also be used if you’ve had a one-on-one client conversation and want to send them a direct booking/payment link rather than your package landing page. Here’s an example of a live booking calendar.

Click on the Sharing tab in that package. Click the Copy button next to the Schedule Link URL.

If you want to embed your booking calendar in your website, copy the code from this tab too. Click Copy for Embedded Calendar.

Our Suggested 3-Step Checklist

Here are three ways to integrate Paperbell into your website:

1⃣  Discovery calls
If you use a discovery call (a free call to talk to a prospect before they sign up), you can use Paperbell to facilitate it! Simply make the price of the package $0 (here’s more info). Embed the free call scheduling right on your site, or link to it from a button that says something like “Schedule Your Free Discovery Call” (here’s more detail on how to do all that)

2⃣  “Work with me” page
Do you have a “Services” or “Work with me” page on your site? That’s a great place to link to your packages on Paperbell.

You could:

👉  Link your “Services” navigation link straight to your Paperbell website.

👉 Have your own dedicated page for each service, and link a “Buy now” button straight to your Paperbell checkout for that package

👉 Have a list of your services, each one linking to your Paperbell landing page for that package.

3⃣  Client login link
Once you’re rocking and rolling with Paperbell, your clients will log in to check out their resources and schedule appointments. That’s why we suggest a “Client login” link right on your site’s navigation.

Link it to https://PaperbellClient.com/

Where do I send clients who have purchased from me and need to schedule their sessions?

When clients purchase a session from you, they’ll receive an email with links to access their account on Paperbell. If you want to have a link or button on your website that says something like “Current client? Log in here to schedule your session,” it should link to https://PaperbellClient.com/

If clients need any technical support from Paperbell they can contact us at hello@paperbell.com. You do not have access to your client’s Paperbell login information.
